Stadtwerkstatt in association with Ars Electronica presented a 48-hour distributed performance of HAGAY DREAMING at STWST48x8 on the maindeck by the Danube River where three large scale cave structures (3m x 9m x 3.5m) woven from steel and cotton thread are installed. Laser lights beam through the Taroko tribal totem on the upper platform. The overture (act 0) and seven acts of the performance were presented at different time slots, interspersed with weaving and chanting live acts, engaging the audience throughout the 48 hour duration. Adhering to Stadtwerkstatt’s “new context” concept, this edition also included two cross-disciplinary fork out projects: Špela Petrič’s Multiplication of Hagay and Adriana Knouf & Taro Klemens Knop’s Ritucols for Gender Transformation.
